While the 2010 Topps variations have been extensively covered by both myself and many others, Topps today officially addressed the ‘Pie in the Face’ variations, and had the following to say:
During the 2009 season, the World Champion Yankees had a special way of celebrating walk-off heroics…with a “Pie in the Face”. (image attached)
